FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Tickets

Tickets are available in our web shop. The number of tickets in each category is limited. In the case that we sell out of tickets before the festival opens, this means it is not possible to buy tickets on site.

Festival Opening Hours

The festival opens its' gates at 12:00 on Thursday, July 9, when the main entrance also opens. All guests must have left the grounds by 13:00 on Sunday, July 12.

Check-In and Entrance

Depending on when you arrive, you will check in either at the parking area or at the main entrance to the festival grounds. To reach the festival area, follow the signs from the parking and campground along the small road, pass the fields, and continue into the forest. It is a beautiful walk of approximately 800 meters. Show your ticket, receive your wristband, and welcome in.

Getting Here

There are several ways to travel to the festival. Below are some suggestions.

By car – The address is Hylteberg Åbygget, Unnaryd. The correct route is via Norra Vägen.
There is a small road to Åbygget on the west side of Lake Kroksjön. Google Maps may sometimes suggest it as a shortcut, but this road is closed during the festival. Please make sure to travel via Norra Vägen.

Ride sharing – We encourage car sharing as parking space is limited. We will share a forum here for finding and sharing rides when the festival is closer.

Bicycle / hiking – If you arrive by bike or on foot, you can enter the area from the south (coordinates here).

Public bus – From Halmstad take bus 401. Change to bus 431 in Hyltebruk towards Unnaryd. You can also plan your journey via www.sj.se. The closest bus stop is Unnaryd Ödegärdet. From there it is about a 3 km walk through a beautiful landscape before reaching the site from the south. Please check Hallandstrafiken’s information carefully – during the weekend you may need to pre-book the bus.

Train – The nearest stations are Torup or Landeryd.
From Torup you need to take a bus or arrange a ride to Unnaryd (approx. 30 km).

Parking

Follow the signs and the directions of the parking staff and park on the large field next to Åbygget.

We aim, as far as possible, to limit the impact our festival has on nature and therefore have a limited number of parking spaces. To help protect the forest and encourage our visitors to carpool, we charge a parking fee. Please purchase your parking ticket on our ticket page.

1-day parking: 100 SEK
Full festival parking: 200 SEK

Good to Bring

Rubber boots, rain gear, water bottle, mosquito repellent, biodegradable soap/shampoo, warm clothes, power bank/solar panels, dancing shoes (if you prefer not to dance barefoot), debit/credit card.

Accessibility

We want Silva Festival to be a place for everyone. However, the location does present some accessibility challenges.

If you have a disability or specific accessibility needs, you can still access large parts of the site around the stage and food area.

If you use a wheelchair, please contact us and we will provide instructions for the smoothest way to reach the festival area.

Accessible toilets are available near the food and stage area.

There is walking distance between the parking, campsite and festival area. Please read on for important information.

Camping – We offer different camping zones depending on preference. Read more here.

Program – See the full detailed program here.

Food & Drinks

We have a forest bar and a food court by the main stages. Food and drinks are served from 12:00–01:00 on Thursday and from 11:00–01:00 on Friday and Saturday.

Breakfast and fika are served in the meadow by the campground from 08:00–13:00, Friday through Sunday.

More information about the food vendors on site, as well as their menus and prices, will be published under the “Program” tab.

Waste & Recycling

Our approach to waste is based on the Swedish Right of Public Access principle:
Leave the site as you found it.

Take your waste with you or follow the instructions given at arrival to sort and dispose of it at the recycling stations before departure.

Toilets

Toilets are located around the site and at the campsite.
As we are in the forest, we do not have flush toilets, but classic portable toilets.
Please help us keep them as clean as possible.

Swimming / Washing

We have a beautiful lake at the site where many people cool off and freshen up during sunny days.
Please only use biodegradable soap to avoid polluting the water.

Sauna

A floating sauna is available for booking on site.

Fire Pit

In the Magical Forest there is a large communal fire place.
For many, sitting by the fire is enough — throw your worries into the flames and feel the release.

During dry periods fire bans may apply. Visitors are strictly forbidden to light fires themselves.

Dogs & Pets

Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a leash at all times.
If your dog tends to bark or gets stressed in crowds, please keep them away from the stage area.

Safety & Wellbeing

We work proactively with safety and have a wellbeing team on site. Both medical staff and safety hosts will be present at the festival, ready to assist if needed. You can recognize the safety hosts by their high-visibility vests. The medical team can be reached via the phone number displayed on signs at the entrance, in the workshop tents, and in the kitchen areas. Fire extinguishers are placed throughout the festival grounds.

In the event of an emergency, please call 112 first.

Alcohol and Smoking

Alcohol is served in the bars within the festival area.
The area around the stage, restaurant/bar and Magic Forest is an official alcohol serving area under Swedish law.

This means:

  • you may only consume alcohol purchased in the bar

  • bringing your own alcohol into the area is prohibited

  • drinks purchased inside may not be taken outside

Smoking is prohibited in the serving area by law.

Please show consideration outside the area as well, and be extra cautious during dry weather.

Drug Policy

The use, possession, or distribution of illegal substances is prohibited within the festival area. We strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for all visitors and ask everyone to respect this policy. Violations of this rule will result in removal from the area and/or being reported to the police. International visitors are encouraged to familiarise themselves with Swedish regulations.

Restricted Area Åbygget – Private Area

The yellow house and garden next to the campsite are private property.
Please respect this.
