OUMY is an award-winning singer-songwriter and rapper, and one of Senegal’s most authentic global cultural figures. Her music blends the raw power of hip-hop with the elegance of African R&B and the energy of global pop, creating songs that transcend languages and generations.

Born in Rufisque and raised in Bargny, OUMY launched her musical career in high school in 2010 and turned professional in 2012 when she joined DD Records, the label she worked with for more than a decade. A major turning point came in 2024 when she signed with the English label CONSCIOUS MUSIC. Her first EP under the new label is expected in February 2026 through a partnership with VERO and WARNER MUSIC AFRICA.

Beyond music, OUMY is a dedicated activist and ambassador. She is the founder of FEM'ART and creator of the 48H DE BARGNY festival, a musical and social event supporting young people and women while drawing attention to environmental challenges in her hometown.

She has collaborated with the World Bank and the United Nations on climate initiatives, performed at COP 28 in Dubai as an ambassador for climate justice, and worked with several organizations to promote women's empowerment and economic independence.
