What to expect
In this hands-on workshop, we recycle old scraps into beautiful new sheets using a simple, traditional dipping technique. It’s easy, a little messy, and a lot of fun, perfect for all ages.

We’ll mix, dip, and lift, then decorate our fresh pages with dried flowers and leaves, capturing tiny treasures from the forest inside each sheet. Every piece becomes a one-of-a-kind memory you can take home.

The workshop takes place over two consecutive days: come back on day two to collect your dried papers and learn a simple bookbinding technique to turn them into your own little handmade booklet.

Come play with pulp, water, and nature.

Want to take part in Paper Dipping? Just drop in! Maximum 15 people at a time.

Slöjd in the Woods

Slöjd in the Woods is an independent project that takes place at Silva Festival. The project brings together professional artisans and craftsmen from various traditional fields to offer engaging workshops and short courses. It's a unique chance for festival-goers to immerse themselves in the world of traditional crafts.

The goals of the project are to reach individuals who might not typically engage in creative activities and to create a platform for knowledge exchange among cultural practitioners. Slöjd in the Woods aims to inspire and ignite creativity through hands-on sessions set in the enchanting surroundings of the forest, showcasing crafts in their natural element.

A special thanks to Region Halland, who's support has made the project possible.
