What to expect
Shrink Pots are nice projects for beginners as well as for more experienced carvers. With just a handful of tools you’ll learn how to make a useful item for your home or a perfect gift for your loved ones. Those little storage containers can be designed in a variety of ways, with a lot of room for creativity.
During a 1/2 day shrink pot carving class we will mainly focus on the hollowing of a branch and learn how to put in the bottom of the pot. We will discuss various processes of creating a lid at a later time.
Want to take part in Shrink Pot Carving? Pre-register at info@wildcraftedhome.com. Pre-registration opens when the detailed program is published. Drop in is possible if there is space and only if you arrive when the workshop begins.
Slöjd in the Woods
Slöjd in the Woods is an independent project that takes place at Silva Festival. The project brings together professional artisans and craftsmen from various traditional fields to offer engaging workshops and short courses. It's a unique chance for festival-goers to immerse themselves in the world of traditional crafts.
The goals of the project are to reach individuals who might not typically engage in creative activities and to create a platform for knowledge exchange among cultural practitioners. Slöjd in the Woods aims to inspire and ignite creativity through hands-on sessions set in the enchanting surroundings of the forest, showcasing crafts in their natural element.
A special thanks to Region Halland, who's support has made the project possible.
