What to expect
In this workshop you will get to try carding and wet felting wool while making a felted festival bracelet and a small wool ball. Wet felting is one of the world’s oldest known textile techniques, likely even older than both weaving and knitting. The method has been used for thousands of years to create warm, durable garments and objects.
Ylva is a sheep owner and a craft teacher, and in the art of felting the best of these two worlds come together.
Children under the age of 10 should be accompanied by an adult.

Slöjd in the Woods
Slöjd in the Woods is an independent project that takes place at Silva Festival. The project brings together professional artisans and craftsmen from various traditional fields to offer engaging workshops and short courses. It's a unique chance for festival-goers to immerse themselves in the world of traditional crafts.
The goals of the project are to reach individuals who might not typically engage in creative activities and to create a platform for knowledge exchange among cultural practitioners. Slöjd in the Woods aims to inspire and ignite creativity through hands-on sessions set in the enchanting surroundings of the forest, showcasing crafts in their natural element.
A special thanks to Region Halland, who's support has made the project possible.
